Assessment Plus is a consortium-led project with the initial work taking place at London Metropolitan University, Liverpool Hope University and Aston University. Resources will be rolled out to at least three further institutions to trial and evaluate, including The Open University, Hull University and London Institute. The project is funded by HEFCE through phase 4 of the Fund for the Development of Teaching and Learning (FDTL4).

Evaluation Strategy

Evaluation of the project resources, the progress of the project, and the dissemination and continuation of project outcomes, occurs through two main mechanisms:

  1. Draft project resources will be trialled and evaluated within a variety of institutional contexts (e.g., subject disciplines, learning development, student groups) at both the main consortium and external partner institutions, and the findings will feed directly into the further development of project outcomes.
  2. A Steering Group meets twice yearly to advise on project outcomes and overall project activity. Members of the Steering Group include the project's external evaluator and three internal evaluators; the director of learning, teaching and student affairs at London Metropolitan University; a representative from the HE Academy Psychology Subject Centre; and student representatives. Detailed project reports prepared by the project team will be considered at each meeting of the Steering Group. Recommendations made by the Steering Group will be implemented by the project team.

Dissemination Strategy

The Assessment Plus dissemination strategy aims to raise awareness, share understanding, and promote involvement and implementation of project outcomes through:
