Write Now News - Sept 2010
The September issue of Write Now News is now available to read online or as a PDF. This is a Writing Development in Higher Education (WDHE) conference special with articles on the keynote speeches, and on key themes emerging from the conference as a whole. In addition there are articles on Write Now's Freewriter tool, using Prezi for presentations, and a report on a Write Now funded mini project on referencing.

The June 2010 issue of Write Now News is now available
The May issue of Write Now News is now available to read online or as a PDF. The newsletter aims to update academics and HE learning developers on our work on student writing in the disciplines and the development of innovative, evidence-based provision focused on writing for assessment. Articles in this issue include a report on embedded writing support at Liverpool Hope and the use of online tutorials for writing development at London Metropolitan.
Training peer tutors in writing: a pragmatic, research-based approach
This article, in Zeitschrift Schreiben (European Journal of Writing), examines the London Metropolitan University Writing Centre training programme and reports on the rationale for the peer mentor training programme and on initial evaluation of its success.
