Lisa Ede is Professor of English and Director of the Center for Writing and Learning at Oregon State University. She has designed and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in rhetoric, composition theory, literacy studies, critical reviewing, and digital and online literacies, as well as composition at beginning and advanced levels. She has published seven books, a number of them co-authored or co-edited with Andrea Lunsford. Lunsford and Ede have been conducting research on collaborative learning and writing for over 25 years. Their groundbreaking study, Singular Texts/Plural Authors: Perspectives on Collaborative Writing, was published in 1990. Ede and Lunsford are currently working on a new collection of essays on collaboration and on audience. The second edition of Ede’s textbook, The Academic Writer: A Brief Guide, will be published later this year.
