Content
The content of the WDHE 2010 conference will be a rich mix of keynote presentations, academic papers, workshops, and symposia, chosen from the abstracts submitted. The broad themes to be addressed at this year’s conference include:
- pedagogical practices that aim to enhance students’ learning experiences
- academic writing as a research area
- the place of writing development within institutions

Writers' Circus
A pre-conference event for delegates who will be in London on Sunday evening and would like to attend:
| Sunday in the Park 27 June 2010, 7pm - 8.30pm Join other conference delegates in beautiful Regent's Park for an enjoyable, informal writers' circus, followed by dinner (which will be at delegates' own expense). Meet at 7pm outside the Garden Cafe in Queen Mary's Garden. In the event of poor weather we will meet inside the cafe and write in a variety of sheltered locations. Nearest tube station: Baker Street Full details and a contact email for registering for this event will be emailed to delegates by 11 June. |

Using free online tools to support writing development
A whistle-stop tour of freely available online tools that support writing development for all, from research and composition to collaboration and communication. The workshop will provide a foundation for independent exploration of the tools throughout the conference, and further guidance will be available at the in-house cyber-station.
